WHAT'S YOUR THOUGHTS????

This is a very very old chest. My sister's
church had a garage sale about two weeks ago.
One of the members of her church had passed
away and left everything in the house to a
niece. It was full of old furniture.I just
had a fit over this chest. My sister is not
one to visualize anything, she only see's it
as it is.My first thought was to redo it, but
now I think I will leave it as it is. My
neighbor who loves old stuff thinks I should
leave it as is. I only paid $5.00 for it.
It was worth alot more than that. The house
was filled with so many pretty pieces of
furniture. Let me know what you think I
should do with it.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts!!!

SHOUT OUT SHOUT OUT SHOUT OUT

Friday night my son and his wife invited
me over to eat with them. Little did I
know it was going to end the way it did.
It was about 9:30,it was lightening and
thundering so I felt like I needed to
head toward home. Then my son said that
Erin was scheduled for an ultra sound
on April 8th.I knew Erin had been sick
several months ago,she had a scope so
not thinking I said well why did it take
them so long to tell her that she needed
a ultra sound, still not thinking Ryan
said mom it has nothing to do with Erin
having her scope.I said then why is she
having a ultra sound. Then it hid me
that I was going to be a grandmother
again.
I am so excited for the both of them.

On Saturday they sold their house after
many months on the market and they will
be moving to Jackson Mississippi about
90 miles from me.Ryan works for the
railroad and Erin is a Pharmaceutical Rep.
based out of Jackson. They have both been
commuting back and forth for sometime now..
Connor and Cooper will now have to share
mamaw.Just had to share my wonderful
news..I know this is going to be a little
GIRL!!!

Please keep Ryan and Erin in your prayers.

A CASE OF MISTAKEN IDENTITY

Good Sunday morning.I thought a little
humour for today may give us a little
something to smile about. We are on to
a new week and a new month. It is really
hard to believe that April is already on
us. One thing for sure we have had plenty
of showers. We are getting more rain next
week.SO if the old saying is correct April
Showers bring May flowers we should all
have beautiful flowers.
Have A Great Day!!
God Loves you..

A middle aged woman has a heart attack and is taken to the hospital. While on the operating table she has a near-death experience. During that experience she sees God and asks if this is it. God says no and explains that she has another 30-40 years to live.

Upon her recovery she decides to just stay in the hospital and have a face lift, liposuction, breast augmentation, and a tummy tuck. She even has someone come in and change her hair colour. She figures that since she's got another 30 or 40 years she might as well make the most of it.

She walks out the hospital after the last operation and is killed by an ambulance speeding up to the hospital.

She arrives in front of God again and asks, "I thought you said I had another 30-40 years?"

God replies, "Sorry, I didn't recognize you."

THE RETIRED PREACHER

A preacher retired and moved to the country to enjoy life and practice his hobby of yard work. Needing a lawn mower, he headed into town to buy one. On the way he saw a sign advertising a lawn mower for sale. He stopped at the house and a young lad came out to greet him.

The preacher asked about the lawn mower and the kid said it was behind the house. The two went to look at the lawn mower. The engine was sputtering along at idle speed. The preacher increased the speed of the engine and mowed a few strips. Satisfied that the mower would do the job they settled on a price of $25.00.

Later in the day, the young lad was riding his bicycle when he spied the preacher pulling on the engine starter rope. The kid stopped and watched for a couple of minutes. He asked, "What's wrong?"

The reply came, "I can't get this mower started. Do you know how?"

The kid said, "Yep."

"Well, how do you do it? Tell me!", the preacher yelled.

The kid replied, "You have to cuss it."

The preacher rose up indignantly. "Now you listen here. I am a preacher and if I ever did cuss, not saying I have, I've forgotten how to do it after all these years."

With a wise look on his face well beyond his years, the kid said, "Preacher, you keep on pulling that rope and it'll all come back to ya."

Diet Ideas for Spring

Today is the FIRST DAY OF SPRING. I am
going to get ready for the beach. This
is how I would look if I went today. Isn't
this a cute picture. Enjoy your first day
of SPRING...This diet for SPRING SHAPE-UP
has alot of good informtion, hope you enjoy.

I am keeping Connor and Cooper today. We
are waiting for it to warm up so we can go
outside. It is suppose to be close to 80 today.

What's it like at your home today????

Spring is the best time to detox your body. In the winter, your body becomes sluggish because we tend to eat higher fat foods, and exercise less. When spring comes along, our bodies are ready for the change. This will make dieting and losing weight so much easier.

When spring comes, so does the sun. The sun affects us more than we realize, just like the plants renew themselves, our bodies do the same, so let’s help out. Since our organs are renewing themselves, what better time to detox? We are already getting more energy, and our body is ready to quit gaining weight from those fatty foods, and is ready to start slimming down for summer.

The sun also starts our bodies making more hormones and chemicals that help us deal with possible side effects of dieting. We will be better able to deal with cravings, and have fewer withdrawal headaches. We will sleep better, our skin will look better, our digestion will work better, and we will feel better mentally and physically which gives us more energy.

Two cups of dandelion tea every day will help you detoxify your body throughout the year. If you don’t want to take these two weeks, drinking dandelion tea throughout the year will help heal your digestive tract, speeds metabolism, gets rid of toxins, and flushes extra fluid.

If you get spring colds, have high blood pressure, get headaches, have stomach problems, and are slow to heal from injuries, try these tips. Have a fruit & veggie smoothie twice a day instead of your normal meals. Combine half a cup of spinach or parsley, one cup of water, one banana, one stalk of celery, and a little bit of beets or cucumber. Blend. This helps your liver and your immune system.

Sip lemon water all day long. Add one lemon’s juice to six cups water, about 1 teaspoon fresh grated lemon zest, and shake it up. This adds Vitamin C to help heal your body.

If you have skin problems, yeast or urinary tract infections, or have cellulite even in skinny areas, try this. Drink hot lemon water in the morning. One half lemon in one cup water helps eliminate toxins more efficiently.

Mix one cup of unsweetened cranberry juice with seven cups water, and drink it all day. This juice mix will release fat trapped in your body so it can be flushed out. Mix one tablespoon ground flaxseed into one cup of your juice mixture. Drink this when you get out of bed, and when you go to bed. This helps metabolize toxins and body fat.

If you have frequent upper back pains, bloating at the end of the day, gas, indigestions, cramping or diarrhea, these ideas should help. Mix juice from one half lemon into a cup and a half of hot water. This cleans your liver and gallbladder. Combine one cup organic butter and one cup virgin olive oil, cover and refrigerate. During lunch and dinner, have a bowl of steamed mixed vegetables with one tablespoon of your butter/oil mixture. Don’t toss the water!!! Water from steamed vegetables hold vitamins and minerals that help you detox. Add a little vegetable salt or garlic salt, and drink all day long.

Using one of dieting ideas for spring will help you detox your body, and make your skin glow, give you energy, and keep you feeling healthy all year long. Using all of them will do even more wonderful things for your body.

Share and Enjoy:

INCASE YOU HAVE BOAT PROBLEMS LITTLE HUMOUR FOR WEDNESDAY

Boat troubles

During late spring one year, a blonde was trying out her new boat. She was unable to have her boat perform, travel through water, or do any maneuvers whatsoever no matter how hard she tried.

After trying for over three days to make it work properly, she decided to seek help. She putted the boat over to the local marina in hopes that someone there could identify her problem.

Workers determined that everything from the engine to the outdrive was working perfectly on the topside of the boat. So, a puzzled marina employee jumped into the water to check underneath the boat for problems. Because he was laughing so hard, he came up choking on water and gasping for air. Under the boat, still strapped in place securely, was the trailer.

How to Begin an Indoor Herb Garden

This is going to be the first time
I have tried growing herbs on the
inside. I've grown them in pots
outside before, they started out
really pretty, but after several weeks
something started eating on them..
If you have ever grown herbs on the
inside please let me know how yours
did.
Hope You enjoy.

Herbs are a beautiful addition to every garden and a magnificent way to liven up the scents and sights of any home when grown indoors.Growing herbs indoors has the added beauty of livening up a home year round. Here is a simple guide to get you started!

Step 1

Determine which herbs you will like to plant, purchase in either plants or seeds. Select which type of pots you will prefer, will you grow your herbs individually or in large containers? Make sure your selection permits enough drainage for the herbs. Choose pots that are at least 12 inches deep.

Step 2

Select which soil you will use. A variety are available, which include organic, soilless, clay and potting soil. . Choose a soil that is rich and nutrients, a good soil could contain organic material of some degree and at least 25% humus. Prepare your soil, by loosening in the bag. Break the soil down with a fork or your hands if you don’t mind getting a little dirt on your hands.

Step 3

In the containers, place 2 inches of soil. Lay in herb plants, allowing plenty of space for growth. Then fill container with soil leaving approximately 1 ½ inches of soil. Water lightly. Herbs do not do well in overly saturated soils so be cautious not to over do it.

Step 4

Place herbs in a location that they will get the best sunlight such as an area facing south or southeast. Herbs benefit the best when given at least 5 hours of sunlight. If this is not a likely option, you can always purchase a fluorescent lamp. If the use of a lamp is needed, locate it about 18” from the herbs and allow to run no longer then 10 hours a day.

Step 5

It is not necessary to fertilize herbs, but if you opt to use a fertilizer once a month that is labeled to be safe for edible foods. Trim herbs regularly for longevity and health. Avoid trimming foliage down to 1/3 of an inch.

A Prayer For Your Young Child

This is a beautiful prayer that I
pray everyday for my two beautiful
Grandson's Connor is the oldest he
started kindergarten this year. I
carry him to school every morning
I pray this prayer every morning when
he gets out of the car. Cooper is fifteen
months and his mother carries him every
morning and I pray this same prayer for
Cooper. They are both what keeps me going.
I love every morning to see what Connors
has to say on the way to school. Oh how I
treasure the ride to school. I hope you
enjoy this poem as well.

Dear God I pray he's treated right
and protected from all that gives him fright.
Protect his heart from kids who make fun
because he's too fat or too dumb.
If he's too skinny or too smart,
please still God protect his heart.
He's so happy and free with joy,
I'd hate to see that be destroyed.
Help him learn from his mistakes,
and never give him more then he can take.
Give him all the love he needs
and bless him with the joy that makes him free.
Save him from the pain life brings,
and make his little heart sing.
Please God don't let the world take it away
It’s to precious to let decay.
So God I beg you please,
Protect him from what he sees
Let him see life in a different light,
Let him see darkness as a starry night.
So God please make his heart very strong,
and spread to the world his happy song.

Study: Blondes Make Men Dumb

For anyone that has looked at my
profile you know thatI have been blonde.
About 2 weeks ago I decided to go dark.
I am orginally dark headed. Last night
I cut and colored my hair. Connor spend
the night with me so he helped me with
the color. This is the before and after
pictures. What do you think??? Today I
found this article about blondes.
Maybe the guy that did this survey is
really on to something.
What's your take on this??

(Paris, France) A group of scientists at Paris Nanterre University conducted research to gather evidence that blonde women make men dumb.

The methodology was to have men view a series of pictures of women with different-colored hair and then make the men take a general knowledge test.

Those who had been shown pictures of blonde women scored lower marks than those who had been shown pictures of brunettes and redheads.

Professor Thierry Meyer, joint author of the study published in the Journal of Experimental Psychology, said: "It proves that people confronted with stereotypes generally behave in line with them.

"Blondes have the potential to make people act in a dumber way, because they mimic the unconscious stereotype of the dumb blonde."

Notably, there is no scientific evidence that blonde women are less intelligent than brunettes or redheads. Sadly, though, there apparently is scientific evidence regarding the intelligence of the men they are with. Personally, I think the study is flawed.

In fact, according to a study conducted in 2004, blonde women became dumber when subjected to negative prejudices toward blondes.

"But after exposure to negative social-stereotypes about them, the fair-haired participants performed significantly more slowly in the tests," said Jens Foerster, a social psychologist from the International University Bremen in Germany.

When people are told they can't perform a task well, they work more slowly to try to make fewer mistakes, explained Foerster.

Regarding men, I think they may actually become smarter when in the presence of a blonde woman. It's been suggested that a smaller auxiliary brain is triggered to work when men are around blondes and this results in an actual increase in total brain mass.

Upon The Wings of Eagles

"And I shall cause you to mount upon the Wings of Eagles." Isaiah 40:31

I shall be the wind beneath your wings carrying you as you soar,
hear the rushing of the wind as you see the world through my eyes.

"Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not upon your own understanding.
In all thy ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct thy paths."Proverbs 3:5-6"

And you shall soar mightily, beautifully and un-erringly with my gentle guidance!

This is just so beautiful I wanted to share.
I hope everything is your lifes are just
where they need to be. I am working on mine.
I feel like my life is going backwards instead
of forwards. But I know with God's guidance I
will go forward once again. Have a great day!!
