'Just Joey'

This afternoon I took Connor and Cooper for
the afternoon to see my mom, which is staying
at my sisters.I took these pictures in one
of the new sub-divisions out by my sisters
on the way home.. Aren't they beautiful???

In the flower bed picture above, 'Nearly Wild' roses are planted to form a low growing hedge against a curved short wall.

This wonderful little floribunda offers the delicate beauty of single blooms on a compact rose bush that's easy to tuck into any garden.

The apricot-pink 'Just Joey' rose is featured in the flower bed picture above. They are hybrid tea roses that repeat bloom all season. The roses are edged with dwarf boxwood that were just planted.

I hope the pictures of flower beds have given you some great ideas for your own garden.

Summer Camp In Meridian

For years and years we have always had summer camp
at my oldest sisters right outside of Meridian.
My younger sister lives in Peachtree City Georgia.
So, every year in July everyone comes to Raley Camp.
A fun filled week of being together, swimming,
crafts, eating and just all being together. My
niece brings her boys from Jackson Tenn. My other
niece lives close to her mom.We have been doing this
for the last 13 years. Now it is grandchildren and
great grandchildren.There will be about 23 of us.
These are pictures from last year.
Have A Great Day!!

A Plan That Changed

Change is part of life

Despite our best efforts, plans change. Sometimes everything works out for the better. Sometimes regret a missed opportunity. Sometimes you decide to make the change and sometimes you have no choice.

Write about a plan in your life that changed and how
it turned out.

For me it was ending a 12 year marriage.There
has been times that I feel I made the worst
mistake of my life.
Times have been very hard for me adjusting
to being on my own. I was married 21 years
to my boys father,divorced and remarried a
guy that I thought I would grow old with,
would take care of me when I was sick,
enjoy spending time with just me.But I was
so so wrong..I guess those are just fairy tales,
because the guy I fell in love with totally had
a different outlook on life.I just wish I could
have read between the lines.

Today, as I share a plan that changed for me
has changed me forever.

Please continue to pray for me. I know that God
has made each and everyone of you a part of my
life for a reason..

HAVE A GREAT WEEK!!

You Gotta Love Those Little Boys!

Two young boys walked into a pharmacy one day, picked out a box of tampons and proceeded to the checkout counter.

The man at the counter asked the older boy, "Son, how old are you?"

"Eight," the boy replied.

The man continued, "Do you know what these are used for?"

The boy replied, "Not exactly, but they aren't for me. They're for him. He's my brother. He's four. We saw on TV that if you use these, you would be able to swim, play tennis and ride a bike. Right now, he can't do none of those."

Memorable ways to celebrate Mother's Day

It is often said that it's difficult to measure the immense love a mother has for her children. Until a woman becomes a mother herself, it's challenging to convey just how the heart expands in order to comfort and love the child that she helped create.

Grandmothers are mothers who are grand,
Restoring the sense that our most precious things
Are those that do not change much over time.
No love of childhood is more sublime,
Demanding little, giving on demand,
More inclined than most to grant the wings
On which we fly off to enchanted lands.
Though grandmothers must serve as second mothers,
Helping out with young and restless hearts,
Each has all the patience wisdom brings,
Remembering our passions more than others,
Soothing us with old and well-honed arts.

Grandma on the Plane
For two solid hours, the lady sitting next to a man on an airplane had told him about her grandchildren. She had even produced a plastic-foldout photo album of all nine of the children.

She finally realized that she had dominated the entire conversation on her grandchildren.

"Oh, I've done all the talking, and I'm so sorry. I know you certainly have something to say. Please, tell me... what do you think of my grandchildren?"

My Teacher is Thankful
Son: “Mom, teacher was asking me today, if I have any brothers or sisters who will be coming to school.”
Mom: “That’s nice of her to take such an interest in you. So what did she say when you told her that you’re the only child, my dear?”
Son: “She just said…“Thank goodness!”

They are:

Monday = Blue

Tuesday = Green

Thursday = Red

Friday = White

Saturday = Yellow.

So if today was Thursday, you would want a red twist tie; not white which is Fridays (almost a week old)! The colors go alphabetically by color Blue- Green - Red - White - Yellow, Monday through Saturday. Very easy to remember. I thought this was interesting. I looked in the grocery store and the bread wrappers DO have different twist ties, and even the ones with the plastic clips have different colors. You learn something new every day!
Enjoy fresh bread when you buy bread with the right color on the day you are shopping.
