Duct Tape Roses For Pink Saturday
Another great Pink Saturday. Thank you Beverly at
Home Sweet Home for hosting this wonderful event.
Where friends visit friends and others make new friends.
I hope you have a great day and find lots of things
that may interest you. Thanks for stopping by
Magnolia Memories 08.
The original idea came from the duct tape club www.ducktapeclub.com. But their Instructions are very vague and there is only four non informative pictures, after making these roses mine did not turn out like these. So, I just came up with
my way.I'm not real good with directions.
step 1 Get your stuff together
What you will need for this project is: Some time: Not a lot but at least 10 minutes Some tape: I use Duck Tape brand Duct Tape Some floral wire: found almost in any florist or Walmart
step 2 Rip Tape!
Start by ripping a 2x2in strip of tape. It doesn't have to be exact, it fact i recommend making varying sizes of petals it makes it seem more real.
step 3 Making the Petals
1. Fold the top right corner over on itself making sure you leave some adhesive on the left side 2. Fold the top left corner over on itself making a triangle with some a…
step 4 Start making the rose.
Take your newly made petal and wrap it around the top of the "Stem"
step 5 Building off of the base
Repeat steps 2 and 3 to get petals. When adding petals I have found that it works the best if you add them in the fashion in the picture below, at an angle and then wra…
step 6 Finish the Petals
After a good amount of petals (your choice really) You should have something that looks like this.
step 7 Stem
Now you have a pretty good rose that you can use, but the wire stem is pokey and hurts when you get stabbed with it... So lets make it a little safer. Now take your stem…
step 8 Finishing up Take the excess of your stem color (or rip some more little squares) and apply them to the underside of the rose, adding another layer of protection to keeping it all together
