Runner and the flower arrangement are

both from Dirt Cheap. The candleholders are from

Southern Living.Beaded elephant is from a

friend's gift shop. Once again when you find

something at a good buy you can always find

a place for it.I just did.

Thrift Store Friday

The red pillow with the beaded trim I bought

from dirt cheap. It was one of those items

that you just know you can do something

with it because the price is right. The beads

are just all in place. But the zipper was another

story, it was broke so I just pulled it together

and used fabric glue. Now the only person

that knows that is you!! I really believe it

was worth the $5.00 that I paid for it

broke zipper and all. It always looks

like it was made for that special spot.

that I have for you. You have always been everything

that I could have asked for from the day I brought

you home 34 years ago today. Such a wonderful son,

husband and wonderful daddy. I know that Connor

and Cooper would agree with me. So respectful and

so well mannered. People tell me that all the time.

You put yourself last all the time to be sure that

everyone else is taken care of. You have a wonderful family,

I am so proud of you. Now that you are a daddy you can

share the love ofyour child. Just how special your child is.

Always know in my heart I have been so proud of you.

Tuesday morning at 5:00am flying to Orlando Florida.

This is Cajun

Cajun is seven years old. I bought him from a wonderful lady in

Baton Rouge, Louisiana.So that is why I named him "CAJUN"

He is a real sweet heart. It's just Cajun and I,

so we spend lots and lots of time together.

Fall Decoration

I made this Fall arrangement. The basket is from Southern Living.
Everything else is from the Dollar Store. It looks great on my bar.
It adds a special touch to my kitchen.

What cans of paint can do!!

This table and chairs I had bought from a garage sale for $175.00. It was the worst of the worst. I tried to resale it but that didn't happen so my daughter-in-law mother suggested that I spray it black!! It was oak before the cushions were from the 70's. So we recoverd them and it turned out like something from Pier 1. I have had alot of people ask where I got the table from.

Total cost $55.00

All Grown Up...My Son Chad's 10th Anniversary Surprise...

On October 10 2008, my daughter in law Kelli, surprised Chad, (my oldest son) by renewing their wedding vows on the beach. They were married on October 10 1998. Of course Chad had no idea about his surprise, and I had to keep it a secret for over a week. Kelli, Cooper, and her Mom went down on Thursday, October 9, to get everything ready. Chad found out his destination on Friday morning. Kelli did an excellent job keeping it all under tabs. So Chad, Connor, and me, met them at the beach on Friday afternoon. Chad was surprised up until the very last minute. It was a beautiful scene, with the sunset in the background. I feel so lucky that I was able to be a part of this special occasion. Kelli really wanted all of the family to be there, but they had prior commitments. They missed a beautiful setting!
It was also the 37th Annual National Shrimp Festival that weekend. There were tons of people there, as you can see from the photo. I've never been before, it was quite an experience. Hope you enjoyed my first post. There will be many more to come!! Have a great day!!
