Then, Kelli and Chad blessed me with another beautiful grandson, Cooper, who is now three. Ryan and Erin blessed me with my first granddaughter, Presley, and now Presley has brother, Harper, who is 2. My blog is really all about family. The reason I chose Magnolia Memories as my blog title is I am from Mississippi! I love Magnolia's. Memories is something that I make everyday. I still have my mother who will be 89 on her birthday in April. My life is centered around my beautiful family. Life is GOOD!

Mark' Roberts Fairies

Humming Bird Fairy
These are such life like characters, which
possess an heirloom quality that can be
enjoyed from one generation to another.
Each fairy has their own personality. Mine
was given to me as a Christmas Gift last
year. He hangs above my cabinet the
entire year. I really feel like he
watches me when I am in the kitchen
This is such a unique gift for that someone
special.

Blue Monday

BLUE MONDAY
FIRST POST

This is a platter that I bought at a thrift store.I
thought it was so pretty at the time even though
blue is not one of my favorite colors. It has roosters
on it, but the border is so pretty and over all
I think that it was a great buy. What do you think?
Today is my first time to try an enter the great things
offered. I am very new to blogging. I haven't
been able to drag the Blue Monday Button. But
I will keep on trying. Thanks for looking!!

A TASTE OF RED FOR THE TABLE

I have always kept my table set in the past,
but it has been a while since I have. The table
before I sprayed it was oak I just could not find
the right dishes for it.The black makes a big
difference in how dishes look on it. So for the
holidays it will be fun to get back in the habit.
The red just adds so much to it.Most of the time
I will mix and match dishes. I think a table looks
so creative with that type of setting.

My Son Plays A Part In Hurricane Gustav

LOOK AT THIS ALLIGATOR
THIS IS CHAD IN THE SWAMP
Hurricane Gustav swept through south Louisiana
and western Mississippi on Monday, September 1.
The category 2 hurricane caused widespread power
outages in both states. My son was one of the thirty
seven lineman initially went to Beauregard Electric in
DeRidder, La. Leaving there the crews ventured to
Jeff Davis Electric in Jennings La. The EMEPA crews
seeing numerous snakes and alligators while working
on lines and the right of way in swampy areas.
I just have to share pictures of my son Chad and the
guys that went with him. I know there is still
plenty of work to be done in Louisiana but I do
hope that our guys made a difference while they
were there.
